Nature: Vehicle Fire

Location: 25899 Prince St., Enchanted Acres, DE 19966

On Thursday afternoon, May 11^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on Prince Street in the Enchanted Acres development off Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a vehicle fire with potential exposures to a manufactured home. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Command 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included fire suppression activities as well as exposure protection for the initial arriving apparatus.  Tanker 80 was assigned for water supply and manpower assistance if needed. The Delaware State Fire Police were assigned traffic control.

It appears that blue Dodge sedan has just arrived at the incident location and caught fire shortly thereafter.  The vehicle was heavy involved upon arrival of the Incident Command Unit.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating.
