Nature: Structure Fire

Location: Diamond Farm Rd and Walker Rd Milton, DE 19968

On Saturday morning, May 6^th, the Indian River (80) and Memorial (89) fire companies were requested to provide a standby cover up assignment for the Milton (85) Volunteer Fire Company while they were working at a residential structure fire in the area of Diamond Farm Road and Walker Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as some manpower resources from our Oak Orchard facility.

• Residential Fire Residential Fire - Saturday, May 6, 2023:

Today, (05/06/2023), just prior to 09:00 Milton Fire along with multiple mutual aid departments were dispatched to a residential fire in the area of Diamond Farm Rd and Walker Rd.   Command 85-8 arrived to find a two story, single family, wood frame residential structure with fire showing throughout. Engine/Tanker 85-2 arrived as the first due engine and operated two handlines. Engine 85-5 arrived as the second due engine and assisted the 85-2 crew interior. Rescue-85 arrived as the first due special service and completed primary searches. Multiple mutual aid departments arrived and assisted with various fire ground duties.
