On Saturday April 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic alarm incident on Tugboat Court in the Rehoboth Shores development off Long Neck Road.  It was reported that fire alarms are going off inside the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included evaluation of interior and exterior of the facility to ascertain the potential cause.  An additional evaluation of the crawl space was coordinated without identification of an actual issue. It was determined to be a faulty detector.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

All units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
