Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 25844 American St., Leisure Point, DE 19966

On Monday, March 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on American Street in the Leisure Point development off Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation to ascertain the cause of the alarm sounding incident, an evaluation of the exterior of the residential structure yielded no indication for the cause as did an interior evaluation after forcible entry into the residence.

It was reported that the homeowner was out of town and checked his interior cameras and it like a smokey condition inside the structure.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control and scene access for the duration of the incident.

All units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
