Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 33081 Secluded Path, The Peninsula, DE 19966

Notes:  Hydrant @ Secluded Path and Preservation Drive

On Friday evening, March 10^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Secluded Path in the Peninsula development off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a second floor smoke detector activation with an unknown status of residential responder.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident evaluation and investigation, efforts to identify residential responder were unsuccessful, no audible or visible alarms, nothing evident from the incident size up and 360 evaluation with no unfavorable conditions found.  Tanker 80 was assigned to stage at the hydrant on Preservation Drive.  Engine #80-3 assisted with the evaluation.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.
