Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

On Friday, February 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident involving a school bus in the vicinity of John J. Williams Highway and Oak Orchard Road.  It was estimated to have 25 persons on the school bus, the school district transportation representative was aware of the incident and enroute to the location.  Additional emergency alerted included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control.  All vehicles were off the roadway and there were not any injuries associated with the school bus and extremely minor damage.  All responding emergency response personnel were cancelled.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
