Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 26418 Bay Farm Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, January 29th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Millsboro Volunteer Fire Company Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were alerted for a vehicle accident on Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle incident with unknown patient status.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and incident mitigation.

It appears that a Nissan Altima sedan and Dodge Pick Up were involved in a collision on Bay Farm Road causing right front end damage to sedan and left rear damage to the pick up as well as damage to the rear axle. There were no injuries associated with the incident and the responding EMS unit was released from the scene.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
