Nature: Carbon Monoxide Detector Activation

Location: 35509 Joann Dr Mariners Cove, DE 19966

On Monday evening, January 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported carbon monoxide detector activation on Joann Drive in the Mariner’s Cove development off Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility. 

Emergency response crew assignments included evaluation and investigation, check interior residential levels via gas detector and respond accordingly.

There were no gas levels presence and after evaluation it was determined to be faulty fire alarm detectors inside the residential structures.  Crews assisted the homeowner with detector replacements and installation.

All units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
