Nature: Vehicle Accident

Address:  Long Neck Rd and Ridgewood Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, December 9^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Ridgewood Drive.  It was reported to be two vehicle collision and unknown injuries.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine#80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a silver Chevrolet Impala and a white Lincoln VIII were traveling on Long Neck Road when the Lincoln struck the rear of the Impala causing significant damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with the closure of Long Neck Road until safe passage could be coordinated.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
