Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and William Street Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday, December 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of William Street Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle rear end type collision with no additional information regarding injuries. Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, Inc.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

It appears that a Honda Civic and a Ford Focus were traveling east on John J. Williams Highway when the Honda was struck from behind by the Ford causing significant damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
