Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 27293 Seabreeze Rd., White House Beach, DE 19966

 

On Tuesday morning, November 22th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on Seabreeze Road in the White House Beach development off Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be heavy black smoke coming from the chimney area of the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Millsboro Volunteer Fire Company and Lewes Fire Department as well as the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units arrival on scene identified a modified single wide manufactured home with nothing evident.  Crews made access to the interior of the structure as well as the accessing the roof to evaluate the chimney pipe and cleared some leaf and debris from around the chimney area.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control and access to scene.

All units were permitted to return with no visible issues as reported.
