The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce that it has been selected to be included as a beneficiary for the 2nd Rally for Our First Responders Fundraiser that will take place on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 from 12 n – 6 pm (gates open at 11:30am) @ Hudson Fields.

In 2023, the chosen beneficiaries are:

• Lewes Fire Department – Station 82

• Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company – Station 86    

• Milton Fire Department - Station 85

• Georgetown Fire Company – Station 77

• Indian River Volunteer Fire Company – Station 80

• Sussex County Paramedic Association

• Delaware C.O.P.S.

• Fit 4 Duty Foundation

• Delaware Police Chiefs' Foundation, Inc.

• Camp Barnes

The Event Planning Committee is in full swing preparing for a much larger and greater Rally in May 2023!

At the Rally, there will be many great attractions for our community to participate within including but not limited to:  Fire Trucks, Fire Safety Awareness Items, Bucket Rides (for a fee), Ambulances, K-9 Unit Demonstrations, Mounted Police, Police Vehicles, BearCat, Paramedic Vehicles, and a variety tables with information that will provide information for the public, etc.

We continue to look for:

• Vendors – Please refer to Sarah Collier at [email protected].  A vendor information packet will be sent.

• Sponsors – Please refer to Kyle Shaffer at [email protected]. A sponsor information packet will be sent.

In 2023, there will be a designated Kid’s Zone - with Pony Rides, Petty Zoo, Face Painters, Bounce Houses, Duck Pond Kids Game, etc.   Older kids and adults can partake with Axe Throwing.

There will also be food trucks and dessert trucks which have been confirmed.  Revelation Beer Truck, Chelsea & Company, and Easy Speak Alcohol!  ALL Activities and food trucks donating 10% of the proceeds from that day.

A keynote speaker, Cliff Stabner and two bands have been confirmed!

There will be an ONLINE SILENT AUTION PLATFORM and we will be selling E-Tickets.   Additional information will be forthcoming so you can begin encouraging friends, family, co-workers, etc. to acquire tickets.

This year tickets will be $20.  Each person who buys a ticket will receive a 50/50 Ticket along with their ticket to have a chance to WIN a MINIMUM of $1,000.  They do not have to be present to win!
