Nature: Washdown (Fuel Spill) – Property Damage Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Oak Orchard Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday, November 16^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a washdown assignment resulting from a property damage vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Incident Command 80 from the Oak Orchard area and Engine #80-1 and Chief 80-15 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included but not limited the traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, as well as overall incident mitigation activities. 

It appears that a maroon Chevrolet Pick Up and a white Mercedes Benz collided nearly head-on at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Oak Orchard Road causing damage to both vehicles.  All occupants refused any medical attention.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident with limited traffic patterns for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
