Nature: Structure Fire – Assist Milton (85)

On Thursday, November 10^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a cover-up assignment for the Milton (85) Volunteer Fire Company. 

The Milton (85), Lewes (82), Ellendale (75), and Memorial (89) volunteer fire companies were working at a residential structure on Broadkill Road.  Additional services from the Sussex County Paramedics, and localized EMS were present on scene as well.  Other mutual aid companies were alerted to assist with cover up assignments which included but not limited to Greenwood (78), Rehoboth Beach (86), Carlisle (42), and Millsboro (83).  Indian River was upgraded and requested to respond to the incident location.

The initial dispatch requested a single engine standby assignment at Milton's fire station and then upgraded to assist at the incident location.

Upon arrival of initial fire suppression entities, it was identified as a residential structure with smoke and fire showing. 

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigation
