Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 18 Dove Knoll Dr Dove Knoll, DE 19971

On Thursday afternoon, September 22^nd, the Indian River (80), Milton (85) and Rehoboth Beach (86) fire companies were alerted to assist the Lewes (82) Fire Department with a residential structure on Dove Knoll Drive near Midway.  It was originally reported to be a travel trailer fire that extended into nearby residential premises.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included manpower to the residential structure for assistance as needed and directed.

Originally, the incident was reported as a recreational travel trailer fire that was upgraded to a residential structure with exposure concerns to other residential structures.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating.
