Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

On Saturday evening, September 17^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Autumn Road.  It was reported to be a single vehicle rollover.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper #2.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brush 80-0 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization if needed, traffic control where needed, fluid and debris recovery, and overall incident mitigation.  It was confirmed by first arriving EMS personnel that there was not any occupant entrapment.  Tanker 80, Brush 80-0 and Trooper 2 were cancelled while responding to the incident location.

It appears that a Ford pick up was travel on Autumn Road and let the roadway overturning into the nearby wooded area.  The occupant of the vehicle was not trapped but hesitate to get out of the vehicle.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control where needed.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
