Community Day – Community Church of Oak Orchard

On Saturday, September 10th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was invited to coordinate a Community Risk Reduction Initiative to highlight Fire Safety and Fire Prevention Display at the Community Day with the Community Church of Oak Orchard.

During the day, Indian River’s Fire Prevention Cohort provided various information display and discussions for fire prevention and fire safety, as well as a fire prevention booth with educational and informational hand-outs for topics which included but not limited to:

• Smoke Detector Awareness

• Fire Truck Rides

Traditionally, the Community Church of Oak Orchard hosted a Pig Roast, Car Show, recreational bouncing booth, Boys & Girls Club of Oak Orchard, craft show / yard sale, and various other attractions.
