Nature: Medical Emergency – Intersection of Indian Mission / Phillips Branch & Harmon’s Hill Road

On Friday, September 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was requested to assist with a medical emergency incident at the intersection of Indian Mission Road, Phillips Branch Road and Harmon’s Hill Road at the four-way stop as a result of a medical emergency.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Brush 80-0 from the Long Neck facility and Chief 80-15 from the Oak Orchard area as well as the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics, and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that an occupant of a gold-colored Ford Taurus encountered a medical condition at the area of the intersection causing a traffic concern.  The emergency response resources were utilized to mitigate the incident while the Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the traffic concern. 

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
