Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Leisure Point 32796 Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday, May 18th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Leisure Point. It was reported to be two vehicles with minor injuries.

Emergency response units included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, debris and fluid recovery, traffic control, and overview scene mitigation.

It appears that a dark blue Chevrolet Pick Up was traveling north on Long Neck and gray Ford sedan collided on the drivers’ side of both vehicles. The pick-up sustained driver’s side front end damage while the sedan sustained signification driver’s side damage overall.

The Delaware State Fire Police monitored traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
