Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

On Sunday afternoon, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for vehicle accident involving a golf cart on Pot Nets Road near the Pot Nets Security Office.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper 2.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the location of a previously dispatched incident in the development of Warwick Park.

It appears that a single golf cart collided with some shrubbery and trees along the golf cart path in the Pot Nets Bayside development off Long Neck Road.  One occupant of the golf cart was injured and required additional medical evaluation.  The aviation unit was cancelled and not needed.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with the overall incident efforts as well.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
