Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: 34142 Hillenwood Rd Pots Nets Bayside, DE 19966

Early Thursday morning, August 25^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for vehicle accident involving a golf cart on Hillenwood Road in Pot Nets Bayside off of Long Neck Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, fluid and debris recovery where needed as well as overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a golf cart overturned injuring the driver. The emergency medical service personnel were attending to the occupant of the golf cart.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
