Nature: Standby Cover up Assignment – Mill Creek Fire Company, New Castle County

Address: Mill Creek VFC, Pike Creek Valley Station, New Castle County, Delaware

On Saturday, August 20th, the Indian River (80) and Odessa (24) fire companies provided a pre-arranged stand-by cover up assignment for the Mill Creek (2 & 21) Fire Company in Pike Creek Valley, New Castle County, Delaware.

The stand-by was requested to allow Mill Creek VFC to host for their members, families, and friends the Annual Appreciation Event at the fire house. The standby assignment commenced at 11 a.m. These assignments allow Indian River members to identify firsthand the different types of emergency response incidents that could be encountered in a suburban setting.

The incident responses included one vehicle accident, one automatic fire alarm, and one residential fire assist for Aetna (7, 8, & 9) Hook & Ladder.  Illustrated herewith are some photographs of the activities for the Mill Creek’s event

Additional information may be obtained by viewing Mill Creek's web page:

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company would like to acknowledge Mill Creek for their hospitality.
