Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 22317 Deep Branch Rd Georgetown, DE 19947

(Down the long lane in the woods).

On Tuesday evening, April 28th, the Indian River (80), Laurel (81), Millsboro (83) and Milton (85) fire companies were alerted to assist Georgetown (77) Fire Company with a working structure fire on Deep Branch Road near Georgetown.  It was reported to be a multi vehicle garage with a second floor and fully involved.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility, as well as the Delaware State Fire Police units.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with water resources, additional fire suppression lines from existing apparatus on-scene, and manpower pool resources.

It that an oversized, multi-story garage was fully involved upon arrival of Georgetown’s Incident Command.   The fire was quickly extinquished with the assistance of all responding mutual aid companies.

There were no civilian and/or firefighter injuries.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating.

Garage Fire, Deep Branch Rd

Members responded to a garage fire, no injuries reported and the fire was put out quickly. Chief Rogers had the command, with assistance from Stations 80, 81, 83 & 85.
