Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 32326 Turnstone Ct., Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday afternoon, April 25th, after being cleared from a previous incident, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a structure fire on Turnstone Court in the Bayshore Development off of Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units included Ladder 80, Tanker 80, and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response assignments included incident mitigation and evaluation.

After the incident evaluation, it was determined that a fire existed between the walls of the townhouse units and requested a state fire marshal unit to report.

Emergency response tasks and responsibilities include incident mitigation with protection of internal residential commodities. Access was made into the wall structure only to find the sources of a gas line leak and a fire situation and had been extinguished.
