Nature: House Fire

Location: 34678 Turnbuckle St Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday afternoon, April 20th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a structure fire on Turnbuckle Street in the Pot Nets Bayside development off of Long Neck Road. It was reported to be a kitchen fire.

Emergency response units included Tanker 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, as well as Engine #80-1 and Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility. The Delaware State Fire Police were on-hand to provide assistance as well.

Emergency response crew assignments included initial fire suppression evaluation, positive pressure ventilation, and scene mitigation.

It was reported that the homeowner extinquished the fire and wanted to check for extensions.

The incident was the result of inattendative cooking.
