This grant award was an initiative recommended by a few insightful members that were aware of the Delaware Energy Efficiency Investment Fund - Prescriptive Custom Grant Project and encouraged Indian River VFC to apply. This award is a collaborative effort with the State of Delaware, Jaykal LED Solutions, Inc. of Harbeson, DE, and our respective utility carrier - Delmarva Power. This initiative will allow all of the current Station #1 lighting fixtures to be retrofitted with LED fixtures and result in lower energy costs, reduced emissions, and a significant cost savings to Indian River. Estimated costs recovery will be approximately 16 months and save an estimated $6,200 in utility billings on annual basis. The State of Delaware operates the Energy Efficiency Investment fund with information that can be viewed via the following link: http://www.dnrec.delaware.gov/energy/information/otherinfo/Pages/EnergyEfficiencyInvestmentFund.aspx This program includes incentives for investments in energy efficient equipment that enhances energy efficiency of your business, helps to decrease operating costs, reduces energy consumption, and improves environmental performance.
