Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Victoria’s Landing Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday morning, July 22^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Victoria’s Landing - entrance to Harris Teeter.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 and Chief 80-15 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a Honda Fit compact car and a KIA Soll collided at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Victoria’s Landing Road causing disablement to both vehicles and requiring one occupant to be transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observation.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with lane restrictions for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
