Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Long Neck Rd and Banks Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday afternoon, July 21^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Banks Road between Long Neck Road and Indian River’s Station #2.  It was reported to be a three-vehicle incident on Banks Road.

Emergency response vehicles from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Millsboro Emergency Medical Services ambulance.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a white Ford F150 pick-up collided with black Honda Civic which then hit a Hyundai company sedan.  One vehicle occupant was referred for additional medical observations.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the closure of Banks Road for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
