Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Indian Mission Rd and John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, July 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Indian Mission Road.  It was reported to be a multiple vehicle incident where vehicle occupants desired to be checked out.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 and Chief 80-15 from a pre-arranged standby assignment, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignment included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, assistance with patient stabilization if needed and incident mitigation.

It appears that a Dodge Dart compact car and a Honda Civic compact car collided and before hitting a GMS Sierra pick up at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Indian Mission Road.  The Mid Sussex Rescue Squad provided emergency medical services and transported two occupants to nearby medical facilities for additional observation.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Police are investigating.
