Nature: Medical Emergency - Pots Nets Bayside

Landing Zone Assignment:  Pot Nets Bayside

On Sunday, June 26^th at approximately 10:07, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to establish a landing zone for the Delaware State Police Aviation unit - Trooper 2.

The Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics were originally alerted for a patient that suffered a medical emergency and responding first responders requested the aviation unit.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80-1 from the Long Neck facility and Utility 80-11 and Command 80-10 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included securing an area within Pot Nets Bayside near the ballfield while the Delaware State Fire Police, Command 80-10 and Utility 80-11 coordinated the closure of roadways to prohibit access during the incoming and outgoing aviation unit.

The Delaware State Police Aviation unit landed and transported the injured person to a medical facility for their respective injury.

All units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
