Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Saturday evening, June 25^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Bayside Bait & Tackle (Paradise Cove).  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics, the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper #2, and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  The incident was reported to be a golf cart collision with the motor vehicle on Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included the Duty Crew from Station #1 with Tanker 80 and Rescue 80 as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization where needed, fluid and debris recovery where needed, traffic control, and incident mitigation.  The additional EMS Units, Paramedics and aviation were cancelled.

It appears that a gold EZ Go Golf Cart and a white Toyota sedan collided in the vicinity of Bayside Bait and Tackle causing both vehicles to enter the parking area of Paradise Cove.  All occupants refused any additional medical observation during the initial 9-1-1 dispatch.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
