Indian River Incident Response Activity Recognition Ledger - 2013 The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has chosen to implement an “activity recognition ledger” which aims to recognize the previous calendar year alarm and incident activity responses of its top alarm responders. The recognition ledger is intended to highlight the contributions of Indian River’s top responder in order to illustrate the volunteer’s commitment to community service and acknowledge the devotion and dedication of the volunteer fire service. To understand the activity recognition better, consider the financial impact that our community resources would endure without these volunteer resources. In Calendar Year 2013, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded to a total of 405 emergency incidents and we have chosen to recognize the top fifteen (15) responders: 1. James R. Wagner – 95.2% with 379 alarms; 2. Harry P. Dawson – 84.7% with 337 alarms; 3. Charles D. Tancini – 78.9% with 314 alarms; 4. Hayden F. Klingler – 76.4% with 304 alarms; 5. David G. Blumenthal – 71.9% with 286 alarms; 6. Clarence “Jim” Becker – 69.8% with 278 alarms; 7. Michael G. Bowden – 69.1% with 275 alarms; 8. Stephen J. Miller – 66.6% with 365 alarms; 9. Joseph LeVan, Sr. – 65.3% with 260 alarms; 10. Ryan M. Mock – 65.1% with 259 alarms; 11. Steven C. Deery, Jr. – 62.3% with 248 alarms; 12. John P. Rossiter – 60.6% with 241 alarms; 13. Patrick C. Miller – 57.5% with 229 alarms; 14. Billie Jo Casapulla – 54.5% with 217 alarms; and 15. Cody A. Levis – 49.5% with 197 alarms. This statistical information is maintained by Indian River’s Fire Recorder – John W. Swithenbank, III.
