Nature: Pre-arranged Standby Crew – Funeral Detail – Mill Creek

Location: Kirkwood Highway, Marshallton, DE

On Monday, May 16^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided a designated standby crew to permit the Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Company to coordinate and conduct funeral arrangements for one of their own.  These assignments included a fully staffed aerial (tower) truck assignment and a fire police unit from Indian River as well as an Engine crew from Harrington (50) Volunteer Fire Company.

A standby crew consists of a minimum number of firefighters, fully equipped and trained, SHALL be on standby outside their designated fire district to provide assistance or perform rapid response, if needed.
