Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Bay Farm Rd & School Ln Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday afternoon, November 24th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Bay Farm Road in the vicinity of School Lane. It was reported to be a minor vehicle accident – rear end collision type scenario.

Emergency response apparatus included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility, as well as the Delaware State Fire Police and the Delaware State Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assist with patient stabilization, traffic control, as well as incident mitigation.

It appears that both vehicles were traveling south on Bay Farm Road, while the Ford was attempting to turn into a private driveway when it was struck by the Kia. Both occupants of the vehicle requested to be transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observations.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control measures for the duration of the incident. Traffic patterns along Bay Farm Road were restricted for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
