Nature: Smoke Investigation

Location: ITAO - 32250-32417 Hersel Davis Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday, April 17^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a smoke investigation in the area of (ITAO) Oak Orchard Road and Captains Grant.  The initial arriving first responder identified the actual incident location as Hersel Davis Road area adjacent to Captains Grant as a brush fire.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brush 80-0 and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included fire suppression and saturation of the designated area as well as utilizing rakes to separate and open the wood and leaf covered areas.

It appears that brush in the wood row along Hershel Davis Road caught fire causing a smoke investigation complaint in the area.

All units were able to clear upon suppression of the incident.
