Stop it - Before it starts! The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Orchard-Riverdale participated in a parent and child reception night to kick-off a new grant award for the Boys & Girls of Oak Orchard-Riverdale. This initiative is called "Stop It – Before It Starts" which is targeted towards bullying, cyper-bullying, drug & alcohol addiction and abuse, fire prevention, and learning CPR! The following topics are a part of this grant initiative: (1) Bullying Bullying is considered a serious problem in today’s society, and school age children of all ages, including preschoolers are not immune. Despite significant efforts to curb the problem, troubling incidents continue.
