Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Rosedale Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday afternoon, March 23^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Rosedale Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments include traffic control, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, as well as patient stabilization where needed.

It appears that a gray Chevrolet Colorado Pick Up and a white KIA SUV were traveling west on John J. Williams Highway when the pick-up struck the rear of the SUV causing significant damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the roadway closure and traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
