Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and White Pine Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday afternoon, March 5^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the area of White Pine Drive.  It was reported to be a two vehicle rear-end type collision with the possibility of one patient.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, marking of vehicles and roadway for removal to shoulder area, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a white Honda pick up and a black Toyota RAV4 were traveling on John J. Williams Highway when they collided.  The Toyota struck the rear of the Honda. One person was transported to nearby medical facilities via the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
