Nature: Vehicle Accident Serious

Location: Pot Nets Bayside Office - Long Neck, DE 19966

On Friday, August 29th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident involving a golf cart. It was reported that a vehicle and golf car collided on Pot Nets Road.

Emergency response units included Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included scene mitigation with assistance for vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, and traffic control.  The was at least one person transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observations by the local emergency medical services provider.

It appears that a green golf cart was attempting to across the roadway and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The vehicle sustained minor damage and the golf cart sustained minor front end damage. The local emergency medical services provider transportation two persons from the golf for additional medical observations.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
