Friday August, 22 2014 Nature: USMC Graduation Ceremonies Location: Parris Island, Beaufort, South Carolina The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is a pleased to announce that one of its volunteers has recently enrolled in the military service and graduated as a United States Marine on Friday, August 22, 2014. Trevor G. McCandless joined the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company three years ago (2011) as a Junior Member and is currently on military leave to fulfill his chosen obligation of becoming a United States Marine. Trevor departed for Parris Island, South Carolina in May 2014 and recently completed the rigorous training of boot camp. Much of Trevor’s extended family in the fire service and neighborhood completed the trek to Parris Island to witness first hand Trevor’s accomplishments. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, its officers, and fellow volunteers offer these congratulatory remarks to Trevor for his achievements to date.
