Nature: Grass Fire

Location: Pot Nets Bayside East Gate - Long Neck, DE 19966

On Saturday afternoon, August 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a grass fire at the Pot Nets Bayside east gate off of Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units included Brush #80-00 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brush #80-0 and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency crew assignments were to extinguish the grass fire and saturate the area with water. Brush #80-00 performed this task and utilized its new installed ground sweep to saturate the area.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.
