Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 25859 Kings Ln Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday afternoon, August 5th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on Kings Lane in the Enchanted Acres development off of Long Neck Road. It was reported to be a working alarm with smoke coming the structure.

Indian River’s emergency response units include Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as Engine #80-1 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response assignments included immediate fire suppression at the rear of the trailer while conducting a primary and secondary residential search of the structure. Additional assignments included ventilation with salvage and recovery for residential contents.

Millsboro’s emergency response units were directed to the scene for suppression and assistance while Lewes’ emergency response units were directed to provide stand-by cover-up assignments for Indian River.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
