Nature: Smoke Investigation

Location: 26367 Timbercreek Lane, Long Neck Shores, DE 19966

On Friday, February 11^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a smoke investigation incident on Julia’s Lane off Long Neck Road.  The incident location was amended when emergency response crews updated the address to Timbercreek Lane in the Long Neck Shores development off of Bay Farm Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.  Engine 80-3 and Rescue 80 responded to the Julia’s Lane location and Tanker 80 went to the Timbercreek Lane location. 

Emergency response crew assignments included identification and suppression of the smoke investigation.  It was determined that the exterior of a residence on Timbercreek Lane caught fire and needed suppression.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal was requested to the incident location to investigate.
