Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 153 Teal Dr Creeks End, DE 19966

On Thursday morning, February 3^rd, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82) and Millsboro (83) volunteer fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on Teal Drive in Creeks End.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics. It was reported to be smoke in the residence with an unknown source. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included evaluation and mitigation of the incident, an initial 360 of the residence yielded no indicators, and the interior indicators were electrical in nature.  Engine #80-3 arrived and assumed command, Tower 80 set up in front of the structure, Engines from 82 staged and hit the nearby hydrant while Engines from 83 staged pending.

Interior emergency response crews investigated and evaluated the interior of the structure, checked crawl spaces, electrical panel boxes, etc. The incident was placed under control with the residential owner being notified to contact an electrical contractor for additional observations.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control assignments.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall was on location.
