Indian River Volunteer Fire Company Incident Response Synopsis – 4th of July Weekend (07/04 thru 06/2014) The operating mission of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is to protect life and property from fire and other emergencies through incident response, public education, and thorough training of our fire and EMS personnel. It's the fire company's intent to deliver the highest level of service and care via first responders when requested by our residents. As well as having high regard for the personal safety of the public and fire company personnel. Over the past 4th of July Weekend, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded and participated with the following incidents within our fire district: (1) Friday – July 4th No incident responses requested; (2) Saturday - July 5th a. Automatic Fire Alarm (Residential Location – single family) - Warwick Cove; b. Child Locked in Automobile – Massey’s Landing; and c. Outside Marsh Fire – Pot Nets Coveside. (3) Sunday, July 6th a. Medical Emergency Assist – Oak Orchard; b. Medical Emergency Assist – Cardiac Arrest – Pot Nets Seaside; and c. Applicance Fire – Gull Point. Incident reponse statistics attempt to enhance public awareness of the types of service provided by your local volunteer fire company. |
