Oak Orchard-Riverdale American Legion Post #28 donates to Indian River

The Oak Orchard-Riverdale American Legion Post 28 recently hosted a ceremony to recognize the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company for providing the volunteer fire and rescue service to the residents of their respective fire district. 

Several members of the American Legion coordinated the effort and assisted with the presentation.  The American Legion presented a check in the amount of $5,000 to the fire company.

These monies will be utilized to offset our community response expenses, apparatus acquisition costs, as well as firefighter professional development.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company wishes to acknowledge the community and corporate partnerships that have been forged with the American Legion.
