Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy near Willow Lane Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday evening, January 18^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway near Willow Lane.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 and 80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, vehicle stabilization, and fluid and debris recovery.

It appears that a GMC SUV type vehicle and a Honda compact sedan collided near Willow Lane on John J. Williams Highway.  Both vehicles suffered front end damage and two occupants were transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observations.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
