Nature: Structure Fire - Residential (Single)

On Wednesday afternoon, December 22^nd, the Indian River (80), Milton (85), and Rehoboth Beach (86) fire companies were alerted to assist Lewes (82) Fire Department with the residential structure fire on Taramino Place off Route 1 near Nassau.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Indian River units reported to the staging area to await specific assignment before being authorized to return to their respective quarters.

First arriving units did find fire inside the residential structure and coordinated their fire suppression tasks and responsibilities which included tapping the hydrant, interior fire suppress, aerial ladder to the roof, ladders to the windows, ventilation, and other fire ground tasks.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall Office is investigating.
