Nature: Child Locked In Vehicle

On Thursday afternoon, May 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a child locked inside an automobile at the Royal Farms on John J. Williams Highway.

Emergency response united included Brush #80-0 from the Long Neck facility and Brush #80-00 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crew assignments were to assist with mitigating the incident by utilizing various Big EZ Tools to access the vehicle without incurring any damage or breaking any windows.

It appears that the vehicle occupant accidentally locked the vehicle while a child was located inside, right rear in a car seat.

Access to the vehicle’s passenger compartment was successful.
