Nature: Pre-arranged Standby Assignment – Annual Banquet – Wilmington Manor Fire Company
Location: New Castle County
On Saturday, December 11, 2021, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided a designated standby crew to permit the Wilmington Manor Volunteer Fire Company to coordinate and conduct their Annual Firefighter Appreciation Banquet to recognize their own. These assignments included a fully staffed aerial (tower) truck and rescue assignment with personnel from Indian River, a fully staffed ambulance crew from Delaware City.
A standby crew consists of a minimum number of firefighters, fully equipped and trained, SHALL be on standby outside the designated location to provide assistance or perform emergency response services as needed.
During this standby assignment, these crew members responded to the following alarms:

Automatic Fire Alarms within the Wilmington Manor Fire District – three (3) incidents.

Medical Assist Alarms within the Wilmington Manor Fire District – two (2) incidents.

Vehicle Accident Incident within the Wilmington Manor Fire District – two (2) incidents.

Working Structure Fire Incident within the Wilmington Manor Fire District – one (1) incident.
All of these emergency alerts included mutual aid response from mutual aid companies as well.
